Territory Acknowledgement
Our work is hosted on the traditional territory of many Nations on Turtle Island, in what is colonially known as Canada. These include the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Haudenosaunee, the Wendat, and the Attiwonderonk (Neutral) peoples, many of whom were displaced or lost to war. We recognize the enduring presence and contributions of all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
As a largely Settler-run organization, we have a responsibility to advocate for Indigenous sovereignty and actively support Land Back movements.
AHA! believes that collective joy requires justice. We strive to create inclusive, welcoming spaces for all people—regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, ability, body type, race, or belief. The road to justice and acceptance for ADHDers is tied to the liberation of Black and Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
We are especially grateful for the leadership of Queer and Trans BIPOC people with disabilities, whose resistance and innovation have helped shape safer, more equitable futures for all neurodivergent and disabled people.
We are not free until all of us are free.
